Dilley IPC Departure Records

Dilley Immigration Processing Center is an ICE contract facility operated by CoreCivic. Operator reporting supports a 2025 resumption of operations, but the facility has had changes in status and mission. That history makes a current directory check essential. It also means an older description should not be used to infer who is held there now or what release procedure applies.

Departure has three main meanings. Release ends ICE detention under the terms shown in the immigration documents. Transfer continues detention at another site. Removal is a separate immigration outcome and is not a local release into Frio County. Ask for the event date, destination, and controlling document rather than relying on the broad word “left.”

Search Dilley ICE Status

Begin at the ICE Online Detainee Locator. The strongest search uses a nine-digit A-number and country of birth. Add leading zeroes when needed. The other route uses exact first and last name plus country of birth, with date of birth optional. Try both only with accurate details because spelling and country mismatches can hide a valid result.

Use a short verification chain. The Frio County custody-system search provides the wider routing context.

1. Search ODLS with the A-number route and review any listed location or status.
2. Retry by exact biographical data when the identifier search cannot be completed.
3. Call ICE DRIL if no result appears or the displayed information is unclear.
4. Ask the responsible ERO office to confirm release, transfer, or removal routing.
5. Match that answer to the person's dated immigration papers or court record.

Dilley Recent-Release Limits

ICE guidance states that ODLS includes current detainees and some people released within the prior 60 days. It may also cover certain CBP custody over 48 hours. The database excludes people under 18 and may omit records for security or discretionary reasons. Data uploads can lag. The recent-release window does not create a permanent public history.

When ODLS cannot resolve Dilley status, contact the ICE Detention Reporting and Information Line at 1-888-351-4024. Published locator guidance lists weekday service, excluding holidays, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. Prepare the A-number, exact identity, country and date of birth, Dilley connection, and approximate custody dates before calling.

Ask which ERO office controls the record. Keep every release, supervision, transfer, hearing, and removal document. A dated agency or court paper can explain an absent locator record long after the public recent-results window closes.

Dilley IPC Contact Details

CoreCivic supplies the verified facility contact. The number may route facility questions, but ICE and ERO control federal detention status and immigration case records. Confirm the current mission and visiting or records route before travel.

A request for federal agency records should identify the exact existing record, the person, A-number, dates, and requested release, transfer, or removal event. Broad questions may not produce a document. Privacy, identity, and law-enforcement rules can limit disclosure, and the contract operator may direct the requester back to ICE.

Dilley's Changing Facility Mission

Dilley IPC needs a stronger date caution than the other Frio facilities. Operator reporting supports resumed operations in 2025, while older material may describe a different population, mission, name, or inactive period. Date each source. Check the ICE directory and the operator page on the day of the inquiry before assuming the site still performs the same role.

A change in facility mission does not establish what happened to a named person. If operations changed during the relevant dates, seek the transfer roster entry or individual case documentation. ERO can route an inquiry to the correct field office. A receiving facility record is stronger than a general announcement.

Current-status checks also prevent a common error: treating the Dilley street address as the legal custodian. CoreCivic operates the contract site, but ICE is the federal authority. Questions about immigration custody, release terms, and records belong with ICE channels.

Dilley Transfers and Removals

Transfer and removal can both cause a person to vanish from a Dilley location search. A transfer may lead to another ICE detention center in Texas or elsewhere. Removal may end the person's physical presence in the United States. Neither event is the same as release into the Dilley community, even though each ends confinement at the facility.

ODLS guidance says recent releases may remain visible for up to 60 days, with exceptions. It does not promise that a removed person will appear or that every transfer updates at once. If the locator has no record, DRIL and ERO are the next official channels. Case counsel or an authorized representative can also use the person's immigration proceedings to identify the controlling action.

Dilley Within Frio Custody

Frio County holds four distinct custody channels: the sheriff's jail, TDCJ's Briscoe Unit, South Texas ICE Processing Center, and Dilley IPC. The databases are not interchangeable. A person leaving Frio County Jail for ICE has left county custody but remains detained if ICE accepts the transfer. A person leaving Briscoe for another TDCJ unit remains in state custody.

An ICE detainer is also not the transfer itself. It asks the local jail for notice and up to 48 hours of added custody beyond the point of release so ICE may assume custody. Read the sheriff's destination field and then seek the corresponding ICE record. If Dilley is named, confirm that the person actually arrived.

Federal pretrial custody adds another possible route. USMS may hold a defendant in a contract or local site and has no public locator equal to BOP's. Use the federal docket and a focused USMS record request. A blank BOP search proves little if the person never entered BOP sentenced custody.

Confirm Dilley Release Evidence

A reliable Dilley result has more than a name search. It identifies the last legal custodian, the dated departure, the destination, the kind of event, and the present case status. ODLS is a starting tool. ERO or DRIL supplies agency routing. The person's own release or case papers supply the controlling details.

Do not turn an old operator announcement into present-tense policy. Do not call a transfer a release. Do not call removal a local release. Those distinctions preserve the meaning of the record and direct the next inquiry to the agency that actually holds it.
