Official Frio Release Page
The official sheriff source was checked for a same-day release view.

The captured page supplies jail contact and status links, but it does not display a 24-hour report.
Frio County 24-Hour Release Status
No official online Frio County 24-hour release feed was verified as of August 2, 2026. The Frio County Sheriff page gives jail contact information and a legacy custody-status link, but it exposes no roster, booking report, or recent-release list. The county sitemap likewise shows no such report. That absence matters because another county's vendor page cannot establish what happened at Frio County Jail.
The best same-day source is an affirmative event. Texas IVSS-Counties may report a booking, release, court change, escape, death, or transfer. Read the event word for word. A transfer to TDCJ or ICE means county custody ended, not that the person entered the community. The sheriff's booking-out record supplies the stronger proof.
Check Frio County Same-Day Releases
Begin with the last known custodian and enough detail to avoid a same-name error. A Frio County booking number, date of birth, cause number, or exact booking date can tie the result to the right person. Then use the channels in a set order.
- Search Texas IVSS-Counties by name and available case information. Compare the facility and event.
- Call Frio County Jail at 830-505-7153. Ask who receives written public-information requests rather than asking staff to give a legal opinion.
- Request the jail-register entry, booking-out sheet, release or transfer order, custody log, and recorded destination for the exact person and date.
- Match the event to the correct Frio court record. A bond, dismissal, sentence, or release order explains authority, while the jail timestamp confirms physical departure.
- If the record says TDCJ, ICE, another county, or federal custody, continue in that agency's system.
A named-person search covering older dates belongs in the broader Frio County released inmate search. The same-day check is narrower: it asks what happened during one recent day and preserves the exact time boundary.
Frio County Release Record Fields
There is no online Frio field display to copy. The useful field inventory comes from the records that can be requested from the jail. Ask for existing records, not a newly prepared answer. The distinction helps the agency locate responsive material under the Texas Public Information Act.
| Field | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | Links the event to the correct booking. |
| Release date and time | Shows when county custody ended. |
| Disposition | May state bond, time served, dismissal, transfer, or another outcome. |
| Authority or order | Identifies the court, bond, sentence, or agency action behind departure. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Separates community release from continued custody elsewhere. |
| Booking photograph | Identifies the booking but does not prove release. |
Texas retention rules give older searches a sound fallback. The county jail register, including the release or transfer date, has a permanent minimum. Booking-in/out records and release or transfer orders have a minimum of release or transfer plus two years. Retention does not guarantee disclosure, but it explains why the permanent entry should be named when detail sheets are gone.
Note: Ask for the permanent jail-register entry if detailed booking-out papers are no longer held.
Frio County Release Request Route
The sheriff has not published a dedicated request portal, email, form, fee schedule, or turnaround promise. The verified route is to contact the Frio County Sheriff's Office at 502 South Cedar Street in Pearsall and call 830-505-7153 to identify the current public-information officer and accepted written-delivery address. Do not send a request to the county's general contact form without confirmation.
A narrow request should give the full name, date of birth or booking number if known, and a bounded date range. It should name the jail-register entry, booking-in/out sheets, custody log, release or transfer order, release date and time, disposition, destination, authority, and booking photograph. Ask for electronic copies and an itemized estimate before work if charges may apply. No Frio-specific price is published.
Under the Texas Public Information Act, the body responds promptly and generally takes one of the required steps within ten business days. That period is not always the production deadline. Exceptions, redactions, and an agency statement that no responsive record exists can affect the result.
Released or Still in Custody
“Left Frio County Jail” has several meanings. Bond, time served, or a valid releasing order may lead to the community. A transfer can lead to Dolph Briscoe Unit, another county, one of Frio County's ICE facilities, a medical site, or another authority. An ICE detainer may cause county booking-out followed at once by immigration custody.
| Result | Next check |
|---|---|
| Current county event | IVSS-Counties and the Frio jail record |
| Transfer to TDCJ | TDCJ current-inmate search, then TDCJ records |
| Transfer to ICE | ICE Online Detainee Locator and ERO |
| Community release | Jail timestamp plus court order or disposition |
| No result | Correct identifiers and request the source record |
A live custody tool shows what its agency knows now. It is not a durable archive. Court papers explain why release was authorized, but an order time can differ from the final booking-out time.
Getting Home After Frio Release
Transportation can be part of a same-day check, but no jail pickup service was verified. Alamo Regional Transit lists a Pearsall point at 409 South Cedar Street and 866-889-7433. The sheriff is at 502 South Cedar Street. Those addresses do not prove a walk route, pickup location, fare, eligibility, reservation, schedule, family waiting area, or weekend service.
Call the transit provider to ask about current service and call the jail for release logistics. Do not promise a ride based only on nearby addresses. The actual release record should remain separate from travel planning, since a transfer to another authority may make local transportation irrelevant.
Frio County Roster Search Trap
Historical Frio search results use “72-hour” in a way that can mislead someone checking today's releases. A dated jail-standards account described a lock-up classification or maximum confinement period. It was not a rolling three-day list, and it does not establish a current county feed. The broader Frio County 72-Hour Release List explains how to request a defined three-day window.
No official sheriff mobile app was verified. The county links the official FCSO Facebook account, but it promises no complete release stream or photo archive. A post is selective. Match any named event to the jail and court records before describing the outcome.
Note: Historical jail terminology must be dated and cannot substitute for a current Frio County release report.
Local News and Frio Releases
Frio-Nueces Current has reported on jail operations, and KSAT documented the 2015 shutdown. These sources can explain policy history or a named event. Neither is a complete person-by-person release database, and neither supplies the booking-out timestamp needed for same-day confirmation.
Use local reports as context, then return to FCSO, IVSS, and the correct court. Frio felony district matters route through the District Clerk and the 81st/218th District Courts. County-level cases route through the County Clerk, while justice courts hold their own matters. Choosing the proper clerk prevents a blank result in one court from being mistaken for proof of release.
